Fire in Indian Oil in Jaipur...


Jaipur: Tension in Jaipur when a major fire broke out at Indian Oil depot in the Sitapura area here today.

Nearly 20 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. However, the reason for the outbreak of fire is not known by anyone.

Initial reports suggest that a dozen lives have been lost in the tragic incident.

The intensity of the fire is such that the flames can be seen as far as 30 Kms from the India Oil site.

Due to heavy blasts in the depots the panic gripped the Pink City, which is witnessing heavy traffic jams in different parts.

Very dangerous Jaipur Indian Oil Depot fire has spread over lauge area.

Near by village of Jaipur Indian Oil Depot are instructed to evacurate.

30-40 Fire Brigade has deployed to Jaipur Indian Oil Depot.

Traffics are stopped near Jaipur Indian Oil Depot explosion area.
Around 50 people were injured in a major fire that broke out following a blast at an Indian Oil petrol depot in Jaipur on Thursday.

Officials said the injured were moved to the Sawai Mansingh Singh Hospital and M.G. Hospital. Among the injured were three Indian Oil officers.

Power supply to the area around the depot was cut off as a safety measure and 30 fire tenders were rushed. The vehicles were reported to be facing difficulty in getting close to the fire.

Twenty ambulances were helping in the rescue work. An expert had been called for from Mumbai to help battle the flames.

Residents of the area were asked to leave their homes and move to safety.
